Custom Engraved Monuments for the Smale Riverfront Park
Acsent provided custom stone engraving services for The John G. and Phyllis W. Smale Riverfront Park located along Cincinnati’s downtown riverfront area between Great American Ballpark and Paul Brown Stadium. The park is located on 45 acres and includes splash grounds, water play areas, playgrounds, picnic areas and swings along the riverfront.
We provided custom stone engraving for many of the beautiful stone monuments and walls around the park such as the wall at Carol Ann’s Carousel, the Labyrinth, the Black Brigade Monuments, engraved inscriptions at the grand entrance staircase to the park, and the Duke Energy Garden area.
Acsent worked closely with Cincinnati Parks and the architecture firm Sasaki Associates. All of the engraving and inscriptions were sandblasted into the surface. Our team had to make sure the masks were laid out properly on the stone surfaces. After all of the engraving work was completed, we carefully sealed the walls and cleaned up the site.
We’re always honored and excited to help Cincinnati Parks with their projects!
